Volunteering:
We volunteers for a wide variety of positions. Please Contact Us to get involved!
Working with Students:
~ Assist with Beginner and Therapeutic Riding Lessons as Horse Handlers and Sidewalkers (16+yrs)
~ Help with day camps as horse handlers or working with children.
In order to work with students, volunteers must be willing to have Criminal Record Check done, as well as complete our Volunteer Training program. Previous horse experience is preferred but not required.
Exercising Horses:
~ Our lesson horses spend a lot of time teaching! We welcome help in keeping them physically and mentally balanced. Exercise riders take the horses for trail rides, work on natural horsemanship with them, and help to get them comfortable with new games. Anyone wishing to participate as an exercise rider must be an experienced rider, and will be required to demonstrate skills and handling style.
Help with farm/horse chores and building projects:
~Our property is currently under development and we are hard at work trying to complete projects. If you have any special skills you would like to offer let us know!
We are currently on the look out for the following items:
(We accept donations of new or gently used items or gently used items at reasonable prices or in exchange for horse time)
~ Tack:Western & English in good condition ~ Art & craft supplies for day camps ~ Riding gear for students -boots, helmets, gloves
~ Supplies for build projects- wood, sheet metal, etc. ~ Wheel Barrows ~ Bareback Pads
Lesson horses to add to our expanding program:
~ mature lesson horses (any breed)
~ a mule
~ a donkey
~ a driving horse
~ and even a cow!
We accept horse donations, free leases and reasonably priced horses for purchase, however all horses must come to our place for a minimum one month trial before being accepted into the program. All animals must have previous training and be beginner friendly.
